Donation handover to the Bärenherz Children’s Hospice

As entrepreneurial spirit and social responsibility go hand in hand, iFD made a donation to the Bärenherz Leipzig Children’s Hospice in June 2018. The funds were raised during a joint event with the German Logistics Association (BVL).

The name ‘Bärenherz’ is the namesake for the Bärenherz Foundation based in Wiesbaden, for the Wiesbaden Children’s Hospice, for the Leipzig association ‘Kinderhospiz Bärenherz Leipzig e.V.’, and for the Leipzig outpatient and inpatient children’s hospice service, which was founded in November 2003.

Since then, many dedicated parents, volunteers, doctors, trained carers and therapists have supported the children’s hospice, working with passion and commitment to raise awareness of the association and the cause of Bärenherz.

To make the children’s and families’ stay as pleasant as possible, part of the donation was used for the current refurbishment of the hospice premises. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Stadler from the Bärenherz Children’s Hospice for the interview.
