Due to sustained strong growth and in order to secure long-term development opportunities, the existing e-commerce warehouse of the interior design and furniture retailer Zurbrüggen Wohn-Zentrum GmbH in North Rhine-Westphalia is to be expanded, and operational processes are to be optimised and made more transparent with the help of the iFD Warehouse Management System (WMS).

The iFD WMS offers a wide range of functions specifically tailored to the customer’s requirements.

The functions covered include goods receipt, including the acceptance of single-item pallets and mixed pallets, support for quality control, and the distribution of received goods to the storage locations determined by the WMS. Goods are stored across multiple levels, taking into account the ABC categorisation of items, to enable subsequent order picking with reduced walking distances and time.

In addition, the iFD-WMS offers comprehensive support for the logistical handling of returns, including returns to suppliers. Another key function is warehouse management, including stock transfers and various replenishment procedures, to ensure optimal use of storage space. In addition to warehouse management, the iFD-WMS supports the execution of stock-taking using various inventory procedures, thereby providing the desired transparency regarding stock levels and processes. Furthermore, the iFD-WMS ensures efficient management of the internal transport of goods, thus guaranteeing fast and reliable processing of customer orders.

The iFD-WMS offers Zurbrüggen Wohn-Zentrum GmbH an innovative and tailor-made solution to make its logistics processes more effective and thereby gain competitive advantages.

We are delighted about the new project and the collaborative partnership.
