Steady development and dedicated research, as well as the targeted improvement of concepts and products, are the guarantees of success for our software systems, which represent the ideal logistics solution for a variety of national and international customers.
On August 6th, State Secretary Stefan Brangs was also convinced of the innovation power of iFD. During the visit, iFD presented current research projects and gave an impression of the software and the diverse fields of application.
Of course, Stefan Brangs also took the opportunity to test some of the developments himself. For example, he tested the data glasses, which support logistics employees with tasks such as commissioning using augmented reality.
An example of the use of iFD solutions in the industry 4.0 environment was presented on a haptic board, which illustrates various possibilities for optimizing transports, such as the connection to production machines. CEO Kay Erkmann also presented the FTF "Hubert", which was developed as part of a research project with a focus on human-machine collaboration.
The meeting was rounded off with a discussion about future challenges in the logistics industry. The State Secretary also signaled the willingness of the SMWA (Saxon State Ministry for Economy and Labor) to support further innovative projects.
